Ingredients

Chocolate Cupcakes

  • 36 Oreos chopped
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix + ingredients feel free to use sugar-free or gluten-free options

Easiest Oreo Vanilla Frosting

  • 4 tubs 16 oz. each vanilla frosting (you may need only 2-3 tubs depending on your frosting preference)
  • 10-20 Oreo cookies crushed into fine crumbs

Toppings

  • 12 Oreos cut in half
  • Chocolate sauce for drizzling Hershey’s, hot fudge, or chocolate ganache work well
  • Optional: Sprinkles for extra decoration

Instructions

Oreo Cupcakes

  • Begin by preheating your oven and preparing the cupcake batter according to the directions on the cake mix box. Once your batter is ready, gently fold in the chopped Oreo pieces to ensure an even distribution. Bake the cupcakes as per the instructions on the box, then set them aside to cool completely before decorating.

Oreo Vanilla Frosting

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the vanilla frosting with the finely crushed Oreo crumbs. Blend them together using a mixer until smooth and well incorporated. Transfer the frosting into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip to create an elegant swirl on top of each cupcake.

Toppings

  • Once frosted, drizzle a generous amount of chocolate sauce over each cupcake for an indulgent finish. Place an Oreo half on top of each one and, if desired, add a sprinkling of colorful sprinkles for an extra pop of fun. Store the cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.
